**Job Title:** Security Ops Analyst I **Role Summary:** Monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats and incidents to safeguard organizational systems and data. **Expectations:** Proactively identify vulnerabilities, investigate security alerts, and collaborate with teams to enhance defense mechanisms. Maintain detailed documentation and generate actionable reports for stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** - Monitor security alerts, incidents, and network anomalies in cloud environments. - Analyze user behavior, file access, email traffic, and system logs for suspicious activity. - Validate threats, execute countermeasures, and recommend risk-mitigation actions. - Generate reports on incidents, trends, and responses for senior leadership. - Participate in incident response meetings and process reviews. - Stay updated on emerging threats and security technologies. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in Microsoft Defender Suite (Identity, Office 365, Endpoint, Cloud). - Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and identity management (Active Directory, Azure AD). - Basic scripting skills and familiarity with threat intelligence (MITRE ATT&CK framework). - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or related field. - Minimum 1 year in IT Security Operations. - 1+ years with Microsoft Defender tools. - One entry-level certification: CompTIA CySA+/Security+, GSEC, or Microsoft Certified Security Operations Analyst.
