- Drive platform scalability to support global growth and increasing data complexity.
- Partner with Engineering to shape upstream data contracts and reduce downstream cleanup.
- Deliver self‑serve data access for analysts, product managers, and operators.
- Expand platform capabilities for real‑time, unstructured, and telematics data.
- Translate technical constraints into business decisions and advocate data integrity at leadership level.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of senior analytics engineers.
- Establish and enforce technical standards for data quality, naming conventions, and API contracts.
- Own end‑to‑end data flow: ingest, transformation, semantic modeling, and delivery.
- Prioritize feature and improvement requests, balancing business impact and engineering capacity.
- Ensure observability, monitoring, and alerting across all pipeline layers.
- Collaborate with product, data science, and operations to enable automated, AI‑driven decision systems.
- Represent the data platform in executive discussions, articulating trade‑offs and value.
**Required Skills**
- Proven leadership of analytics engineering or data platform teams (3+ years of senior tech lead experience).
- Deep expertise in data transformation frameworks (dbt, Airflow, Prefect, etc.).
- Strong understanding of semantic layer design (Cube, Looker, etc.) and data modeling.
- Experience orchestrating large, complex data pipelines with robust monitoring and observability.
