Job Description: **Job Title** Senior Data Engineer – Talend **Role Summary** Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines that ingest, transform, and load semi‑structured and unstructured data into Snowflake. Utilize Talend, SQL/PLSQL, REST APIs, and Azure services to deliver high‑quality data solutions that support business analytics and Power BI reporting. **Expectations** * Deliver end‑to‑end data pipelines on time and within budget. * Ensure data integrity, quality, and security for all processing stages. * Collaborate with data scientists and business analysts to refine data models and semantics in Snowflake and Power BI. **Key Responsibilities** * Design and set up Snowflake virtual warehouses and data models for large volumes of semi‑structured and unstructured data. * Develop and maintain Talend ETL jobs, integrating REST APIs and other external data sources. * Write complex SQL and PL/SQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading. * Build and optimize Power BI semantic models, ensuring performance and accurate reporting. * Leverage Azure services (e.g., Blob Storage, Data Factory) to support data ingestion and orchestration. * Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements. * Document design decisions, data schemas, and operational procedures. **Required Skills** * 5+ years of experience with Snowflake and data modeling. * Proven track record of ingesting semi‑structured and unstructured data into Snowflake. * 5+ years of hands‑on Talend development. * Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills. * Experience with REST APIs integration. * Power BI semantic modeling expertise. * Working knowledge of Azure cloud services. * Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. **Required Education & Certifications** * Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. * Talend Data Integration Certified Developer (preferred). * SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced certification (preferred).
