Job Description
**Job Title:** Data Science Intern **Role Summary:** Support project‑driven initiatives by applying modern data science and machine‑learning techniques to real‑world problems. Work hands‑on with Python, predictive analytics, and large language models (LLMs) to explore data, build prototypes, and generate actionable insights under guidance of senior data scientists and engineers. Internship ends April 2026. **Expactations:** - Availability to work through April 2026 - Recent graduate or imminent graduate of a Master’s program in Data Science (or related field) **Key Responsibilities:** - Collect, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured datasets using Python and standard data‑science libraries. - Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and data‑quality issues. - Assist in development, testing, and evaluation of statistical, predictive, and machine‑learning models. - Experiment with modern AI techniques, including LLMs and agentic AI workflows, to build prototypes on real datasets. - Develop and evaluate AI agents that integrate models, tools, and data sources for multi‑step tasks. - Assess data availability, quality, and relevance for feasibility of predictive modeling. - Apply appropriate evaluation metrics to validate model performance and predictive viability. - Write clean, version‑controlled code following SOLID principles and best practices. - Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security policies. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow preferred) - Experience with data cleaning, transformation, and exploratory analysis - Knowledge of statistical modeling and machine‑learning algorithms - Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, or agentic AI concepts (basic exposure acceptable) - Understanding of model evaluation metrics and validation techniques - Ability to write clean, maintainable code and use Git or similar version control - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills - Awareness of data privacy, security, and governance standards **Required Education & Certifications:** - Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related discipline (in progress or completed).
