Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Role Summary: Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines across AWS and Azure environments to support rapid, reliable software delivery.
Expectations: Deliver first‑time, quality automation solutions; mentor junior team members; collaborate cross‑functionally to integrate security, performance, and compliance into all stages of the software lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Implement and manage containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Fargate).
- Configure and maintain configuration management systems (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and incident response across production environments.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and enforce security controls throughout the SDLC.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and contribute to capacity planning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, ensuring minimal user impact.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior DevOps staff.
- Participate in quarterly AWS SysOps rotations covering performance tuning, patching, identity management, and customer support.
Required Skills
- 6+ years DevOps/system administration experience; 5+ years AWS and Azure.
- Proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
- Strong CI/CD pipeline design (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Experience with configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Scripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell.
- Version control (Git/BitBucket), packaging (Maven), artifact management (Artifactory/Harbor).
- Security best practices: vulnerability scanning (SonarQube), SDLC controls, compliance.
- Excellent troubleshooting, incident management, and communication skills.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Docker Certified Associate, etc.) are a plus.
