**Job Title:**
Senior Systems Engineer (W2 Contract)
**Role Summary:**
Design, implement, operate, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across virtualization, cloud, Windows Server, containerization, and automation technologies. Provide level‑2/3 support for complex, security‑sensitive systems in controlled environments (DMZ, critical networks).
**Expectations:**
* Minimum 10+ years of systems administration/engineering experience
* Deliver highly available, secure, and performant infrastructure
* Apply automation to improve operational efficiency
* Operate within controlled, secure environments (DMZ, critical infrastructure)
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise virtual environments (VMware, Hyper‑V, etc.)
* Administer and support AWS cloud infrastructure; Azure experience a plus
* Build, run, and maintain Kubernetes‑based container services
* Manage Windows Server environments, including patching, performance tuning, and security hardening
* Administer Active Directory – domains, computers, GPOs, policies, and related services
* Monitor system health and performance using Tanium, SolarWinds, or equivalent platforms
* Support and maintain enterprise storage systems, preferred HP storage technologies
* Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and AI‑assisted tools for operational tasks
* Provide Level‑2/3 troubleshooting for infrastructure and system issues
* Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards in all environments
**Required Skills:**
* VMware/virtualization platform administration
* Windows Server enterprise administration
* AWS cloud management (Azure a plus)
* Active Directory (domains, GPOs, domain controllers)
* Enterprise monitoring (Tanium, SolarWinds)
* Container orchestration (Kubernetes)
* System troubleshooting – Level 2/3
* Experience in secure or critical infrastructure environments
* Strong scripting: PowerShell, Bash, Python
**Preferred Skills:**
* Kubernetes container deployment
* HP enterprise storage solution administration
* AI‑assisted automation tools
**Required Education & Certifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
* VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent virtualization certification
* AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (or equivalent cloud certification)
* Microsoft Certified: Windows Server or equivalent AD certification
