Job Description

Job Title: Software Engineer 1‑2 Role Summary: Entry‑to‑mid level developer responsible for designing, building, and integrating core cloud‑based and full‑stack components for a defense‑grade system. Provides support for mission operations, testing, and documentation, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams. Expectations: - Deliver production‑ready code within an Agile environment. - Rapidly assimilate new technologies and domain concepts. - Maintain high code quality, documentation, and adherence to security and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and integrate Java, TypeScript/React, and Ansible modules. - Incorporate commercial off‑the‑shelf (COTS) components into larger system architectures. - Deploy and manage cloud resources (AWS or equivalent) and Docker containers. - Participate in CI/CD pipeline setup and maintenance. - Conduct database design, querying (MySQL) and schema migrations. - Support mission operations, performance testing, and issue remediation. - Perform risk assessment, trade‑off analysis, and documentation of engineering decisions. - Collaborate with Linux and network protocol specialists to ensure system interoperability. Required Skills: - Proficient in Java, TypeScript, React, and Ansible. - Experience with Docker, YAML, and modern IDEs (e.g., IntelliJ). - Familiarity with cloud deployment, CI/CD, and Agile practices. - Strong SQL/database design and query skills (MySQL). - Working knowledge of Linux OS and network protocols. - Ability to analyze complex problems, decompose tasks, and provide solutions. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience. - Valid U.S. driver’s license. - U.S. citizenship with eligibility to maintain a Secret clearance. ---
