Job Description: **Job Title:** Embedded Software Engineer – C/STM32/FreeRTOS **Role Summary:** Design, develop, validate, and maintain embedded software for critical laser and optronic systems. Work across electronics, optics, and embedded computing to deliver reliable, high‑performance software components. **Expectations:** - Minimum 4 years of embedded software development experience. - Strong proficiency in C and real‑time embedded programming. - Deep knowledge of STM32 microcontrollers, peripherals (UART, SPI, Ethernet, ADC/DAC), and RTOS (FreeRTOS or equivalent). - Experience with unit, functional, and system integration testing, hardware debugging, and GitLab version control. - Ability to write technical specifications, documentation, and test reports while ensuring traceability and compliance with internal quality processes. **Key Responsibilities:** - Define technical requirements and draft software specifications. - Develop C code for STM32 MCUs, implementing communication and data acquisition functions. - Execute unit, functional, and system‑level tests and participate in bench testing and hardware debugging. - Maintain traceability in GitLab and adhere to internal quality procedures. - Produce technical documentation and test reports. - Contribute to continuous improvement of development tools, methods, and processes. **Required Skills:** - Mastery of embedded C programming and real‑time systems. - Extensive experience with STM32 MCUs, peripheral interfaces, and development tools. - Proficiency with UART, SPI, Ethernet, ADC/DAC. - Hands‑on RTOS experience (FreeRTOS preferred). - Familiarity with test and debug instrumentation. - Strong documentation practices and version control (Git). - Understanding of quality standards, processes, and traceability. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s or Master’s (Bac+5) degree in Electronics, Industrial Computing, Embedded Systems, or equivalent engineering discipline. - Knowledge of DO‑178 is a plus; certifications not mandatory.
