Job Description

**Job Title** Data Security Engineer – Microsoft DLP & Purview **Role Summary** Implement, configure, and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and data governance solutions using Microsoft DLP and Microsoft Purview. Ensure protection of sensitive data across the organization’s Microsoft ecosystem, monitor compliance, and continuously optimize security controls. **Expectations** - 5‑8+ years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft security and compliance tools. - Proven expertise exclusively within the Microsoft stack (no alternative platforms). - Ability to work onsite in a fast‑paced environment and collaborate with cross‑functional teams. **Key Responsibilities** - Design and deploy DLP policies aligned with corporate data protection requirements. - Configure and administer Microsoft Purview for data classification, labeling, and governance. - Monitor DLP alerts, investigate incidents, and implement remediation actions. - Optimize policies for performance and reduce false positives. - Produce documentation, reports, and training materials for stakeholders. - Provide technical guidance and support to IT and business units on data security best practices. - Participate in audits and compliance assessments related to data protection. **Required Skills** - Microsoft DLP (Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) - Microsoft Purview (Data Catalog, Data Map, Information Protection) - Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 security and compliance architecture. - Policy creation, rule tuning, and incident response. - Scripting/automation (PowerShell, Graph API) preferred. - Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals; Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate) strongly preferred.
