**Job Title**
DevOps Engineer (F/M)
**Role Summary**
Design, implement, automate, and maintain scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines for web and mobile applications. Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security across multi‑cloud environments.
**Expectations**
- Deliver end‑to‑end automation of infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
- Maintain code‑first infrastructure, CI/CD, monitoring and logging solutions.
- Collaborate on architectural decisions, security hardening, and performance tuning.
- Continuously improve practices, tooling, and documentation.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provision and manage Linux and Windows servers, including configuration and patching.
- Build and maintain IaC using Terraform, Ansible, Puppet or equivalent.
- Containerize applications with Docker, orchestrate with Kubernetes, and manage cluster life‑cycle.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI/CD or similar.
- Implement monitoring and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) or similar stack.
- Design and enforce security controls: authentication, authorization, encryption, secret management.
- Operate on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; provision services, manage IAM, networking, and cost optimisation.
- Participate in incident management, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortem reviews.
- Document processes, contribute to internal knowledge bases, and mentor peers on DevOps best practices.
**Required Skills**
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows system administration.
- Strong command of Git for source‑control and collaboration.
- Experience with IaC tools: Terraform, Ansible, Puppet.
- Deep understanding of Docker and Kubernetes including deployment, scaling, and resilience.
- Hands‑on CI/CD pipeline development (Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI).
- Monitoring & logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
- Cloud computing: AWS, Azure, GCP – services, IAM, networking, cost model.
- Security fundamentals: authentication, authorization, data encryption, secrets management.
- Problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑evolving environment.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant certifications encouraged (e.g., AWS Certified Engineer, Azure Administrator, Google Professional Cloud Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Terraform Associate, Ansible Certified Engineer).
