**Job Title:** Cloud Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Design, build, and secure scalable cloud environments to support critical national security data analytics and decision‑making. Lead architecture, migration, automation, and performance optimization for cloud‑native solutions across compute, storage, networking, and data services.
**Expactations:**
- Deliver repeatable, secure, and mission‑ready cloud infra.
- Partner with cross‑disciplinary teams to align cloud design with evolving security requirements.
- Maintain high reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency while safeguarding classified data.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Architect and implement cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) using IaC (Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation).
- Migrate, integrate, and secure data pipelines, ETL workflows, and legacy systems for classified environments.
- Develop serverless functions, containers, and Kubernetes workloads to meet performance targets.
- Automate deployment pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, CodePipeline) and enforce DevSecOps practices.
- Implement monitoring, observability, and cost‑management controls (Prometheus, CloudWatch, Datadog).
- Deliver technical guidance to non‑technical stakeholders and lead multi‑disciplinary project teams.
**Required Skills:**
- Cloud certification (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert, or GCP Professional Architect).
- Deep knowledge of compute, storage, networking, and security services (VPC, IAM, encryption).
- Experience with serverless, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, and database systems (SQL/NoSQL).
- Proficiency with data pipeline tools (AWS Glue, Apache NiFi) and ML deployment (SageMaker, Vertex AI).
- Strong IaC fluency (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
- DevSecOps & CI/CD expertise (GitLab, Jenkins, CodePipeline).
- Monitoring & observability skills (Prometheus, CloudWatch, Datadog).
- Ability to secure data pipelines/ML workflows and modernize legacy systems in classified settings.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
