Job Description: Job Title Software Engineer, Infrastructure Role Summary Design, build, and operate the scalable, resilient infrastructure that powers a high‑growth AI billing platform. Work across event ingestion, API services, alerting, and invoicing to ensure uptime, performance, and observability for revenue‑generating systems. Expactations - Meet strict reliability service level objectives; downtime must not affect revenue. - Mentor junior engineers on best practices for observability, rollout, and risk mitigation. - Drive continuous improvement of monitoring, incident response, and performance tuning. - Collaborate closely with backend, frontend, and data teams to deliver reliable product features. Key Responsibilities - Lead resiliency initiatives (recovery mechanisms, tenant isolation, load spike handling). - Enhance system observability and operability through instrumentation and alerting. - Build performance‑critical, user‑facing infrastructure (real‑time event processing pipelines). - Plan and implement scaling strategies for rapid customer growth. - Investigate and debug complex errors, bottlenecks, and performance issues. Required Skills - 5+ years of software engineering experience; 4+ years specifically in infrastructure. - Deep knowledge of distributed system design, fault tolerance, and capacity planning. - Hands‑on experience with Python, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and AWS services. - Strong debugging, performance analysis, and observability skills. - Ability to mentor peers and influence engineering practices.
