Richmond National is a specialty property & casualty insurance company focused on providing insurance to small and mid-size businesses that are unable to find coverage in the standard insurance market. We operate exclusively within the excess & surplus lines market, which provides our underwriters flexibility to develop highly tailored policies to best meet the insurance needs and risk management objectives of our customers. We work with a select group of appointed wholesale brokers that are deeply familiar with our insurance products and our underwriting appetite in the areas in which we focus. We believe that our wholesale broker partners value access to carriers that are consistent, stable sources of wholesale-only E&S capacity that can respond quickly to opportunities. Our company was formed by a group of highly experienced industry professionals, many of whom have worked for some of the most successful E&S carriers in the industry. Members of our management team have also been responsible for the formation or capitalization of several successful startup and early stage specialty insurance companies. **Job Title**: IT Data Intern **Role Summary**: Assist the IT data team during a 10‑week on‑site summer internship by configuring workstations, managing user accounts, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, and gaining exposure to cloud and DevOps environments. **Expectations**: - Complete 10‑week internship with active learning and contribution to daily IT operations. - Demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies. - Collaborate effectively with the data and support teams. **Key Responsibilities**: - Set up and configure new and existing workstations (hardware, OS, peripherals). - Manage user accounts and permissions across corporate systems. - Respond to and resolve support tickets for end‑users. - Participate in basic cloud service configurations and CI/CD pipeline tasks. - Maintain accurate documentation of processes and issues. **Required Skills**: - Basic understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems. - Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPNs, basic routing). - Comfortable with command‑line utilities and simple scripting (PowerShell, Bash). - Strong communication and teamwork abilities. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program in data engineering, data analytics, data science, or a related field. - No mandatory certifications required.
