**Job title**
Systems & Network Infrastructure Engineer
**Role Summary**
Provide technical expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network and storage architectures. Advise on technology choices, produce detailed architecture documentation, and ensure high availability, resilience, and compliance across virtualized, storage, and backup environments.
**Expectations**
- Mastery of network switches, firewalls, and both Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Proven experience designing and documenting network and security architectures (DAT, HLD, LLD, DEX).
- Demonstrated ability to plan, deploy, and manage backup, DR, and business‑continuity strategies.
- Hands‑on knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, vCenter, vSphere 8, Hyper‑V) and major server technologies (HPE Virtual Connect, HPE Synergy, Cisco UCS/NX‑OS, Dell EMC Hyper‑Flex).
- Strong understanding of storage management tools (HP SQU, Dell Compellent, Dell MX7000, Dell Enterprise Manager) and NAS/distributed storage solutions.
- Capability to perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and incident resolution.
- Commitment to continuous learning and technology scouting.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Advise on optimal technology solutions and recommend best practices.
2. Design secure network and infrastructure architectures; create and update architecture documents (DAT, HLD, LLD, DEX).
3. Plan, deploy, and maintain backup solutions (local, external, replication); monitor, restore, and manage backup incidents.
4. Develop continuity and disaster‑recovery plans (BCP, PRA) in collaboration with stakeholders.
5. Capacity plan backup infrastructure and storage environments.
6. Manage virtualization environments—setup, configuration, and maintenance of VMware (ESXi, vCenter, vSphere 8) and Hyper‑V; ensure HA and security.
7. Administer storage systems—manage NAS arrays, distributed storage, performance optimization, resource allocation, and usage monitoring.
8. Collaborate with operations and support teams to troubleshoot storage/network issues.
**Required Skills**
- Network protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN.
- Switches, firewalls, Windows Server, Linux (CentOS/RedHat).
- Virtualization platforms: VMware ESXi 5.x‑7.x, vCenter Server Appliance, vSphere 8, Hyper‑V, HPE Virtual Connect, HPE Synergy, Cisco UCS / NX‑OS, Dell EMC Hyper‑Flex.
- Storage management: HP SQU, Dell Compellent Storage Center, Dell Enterprise Manager, Dell MX7000, HPE Onboard Administrator, Cisco UCS Manager, HPE Oneview Synergy, Dell EMC OpenManage Enterprise.
- Backup & DR tools and concepts.
- The ability to produce clear architecture documentation and procedures.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Master’s degree (Bachelor +5) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a similar infrastructure engineering role.
- Relevant certifications (VMware vSphere, Cisco UCS/CCNA, HPE, Dell EMC) are highly desirable.
