**Job Title:** Senior Director, AI & Analytics
**Role Summary:**
Leads the development and execution of the enterprise AI strategy, establishing data governance, architecture, and delivery models to drive AI‑enabled solutions that improve decision‑making, operational efficiency, and measurable business value across R&D, Commercial, Medical, Operations, Finance, and Corporate functions.
**Expectations:**
- Define and own a multi‑year AI and analytics roadmap aligned with corporate priorities.
- Build and maintain enterprise data standards, governance, and quality frameworks.
- Champion AI literacy, change management, and a culture of innovation organization‑wide.
- Deliver high‑impact AI/ML use cases from proof‑of‑concept through production while ensuring scalability, security, and ethical compliance.
- Partner with senior leaders, security, compliance, and legal to manage risk and regulatory requirements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Strategy & Roadmap:** Create and execute AI/analytics strategy, set KPIs, prioritize use cases.
- **Data Governance:** Define data standards, governance policies, and quality controls.
- **Solution Delivery:** Lead design, development, and deployment of ML, NLP, generative AI, and automation solutions; oversee MLOps and model lifecycle management.
- **Vendor & Infrastructure Management:** Coordinate with third‑party vendors and IT to build required data pipelines and cloud platforms.
- **AI Literacy & Change Management:** Develop enterprise AI training programs and drive adoption of new platforms.
- **Stakeholder Engagement:** Translate business needs into technical solutions; manage intake, prioritization, and executive communication.
- **Governance, Risk & Compliance:** Establish policies for data privacy, security, responsible AI; ensure compliance with GxP, SOX, and other regulations.
**Required Skills:**
- Proven leadership in enterprise AI strategy and execution.
- Deep expertise in machine learning, generative AI, large language models, and MLOps.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, and cloud data platforms.
- Experience with AI ethics, bias mitigation, transparency, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and change‑management abilities.
- Ability to operate hands‑on in architecture and solution design when needed.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) required; advanced degree (MS/PhD) preferred.
- 10–15+ years progressive experience in data, analytics, and IT solution delivery.
- 7+ years in data analytics within information‑intensive or digitally mature organizations, preferably Life Sciences.
- 5+ years hands‑on experience designing, developing, and deploying AI solutions.
- Certifications in AI/ML, data governance, or related fields (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning, Azure AI Engineer, Certified Data Management Professional) are a plus.
