**Job title:** Fraud Data Scientist **Role Summary:** Apply advanced analytics and machine learning to detect, analyze, and prevent fraud within a digital identity platform. Collaborate with fraud leadership, investigators, engineering, product, and customer success to develop data‑driven fraud strategies, experiments, and automated detection rules. **Expectations:** * Deliver high‑quality insights and models that reduce fraud while minimizing false positives. * Work independently while coordinating across cross‑functional teams. * Meet project deadlines and iterate rapidly on monitoring frameworks and dashboards. **Key Responsibilities:** * Partner with fraud leadership and investigators to define fraud strategy. * Design experiments, test hypotheses, and analyze fraud patterns for low‑error detection. * Evaluate, recommend, and manage fraud prevention strategies using data analytics. * Build fraud monitoring frameworks, dashboards, and real‑time solutions. * Develop automated rules and predictive models for fraud detection. * Utilize member interaction signals to identify stolen PII, social engineering, and account takeover. * Establish robust monitoring for automated and manual fraud processes. **Required Skills:** * 2+ years of fraud analytics or high‑tech startup experience. * 1+ year hands‑on with deep‑learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, MXNet). * Proficiency in SQL and Python ML stack (pandas, numpy, scikit‑learn). * Experience with time‑series prediction models and large dataset manipulation. * Strong analytical, storytelling, and problem‑solving abilities. * Excellent time management, prioritization, and independent work ethic. **Required Education & Certifications:** * Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Physics, Statistics, or related). ---
