Job Description
Job Title: Director, Systems Engineering Role Summary: Lead systems engineering teams to develop state-of-the-art RF transmitter systems. Align cross-functional teams, define requirements, and ensure adherence to quality, schedule, and cost standards. Foster innovation and collaboration to meet defense and commercial market needs. Expactations: Direct technical leadership in RF systems development; champion cross-functional alignment and process excellence. Drive team performance, continuous improvement, and compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Establish and implement systems engineering processes for quality, schedule, and cost performance. - Define and manage system requirements documentation across all programs. - Oversee verification/validation documentation and regulatory compliance, including Department of Defense (DoD) standards. - Spearhead engineering proposals to align product definitions with customer needs and business opportunities. - Collaborate with Program Office, Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to ensure program success. - Develop and lead systems engineering staff through recruitment, professional growth, and performance management. - Champion Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and DoDAF methodologies for program success. - Create budgets, policies, and procedures to support functional infrastructure. - Uphold organizational values, ethics, and compliance policies for self and team. Required Skills: - Expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and DoDAF frameworks. - Cross-functional team leadership and stakeholder communication. - Systems requirements definition, verification, and validation. - Hands-on program management with regulatory compliance focus (e.g., DoD). - Talent development, team coaching, and performance evaluation. - Strong business acumen and data-driven decision-making. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field. - 10+ years of systems engineering leadership experience in defense industry. - Capability to obtain U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance (Top Secret preferred).
