**Job Title:** Automation Test Lead
**Role Summary:**
Lead the design, development, and execution of automated test solutions, drive test strategy and planning, and manage a testing team to ensure high‑quality delivery of web and Windows applications. Serve as primary liaison between the testing team, management, and client stakeholders, delivering reports, risk assessments, and continuous process improvements in an Agile environment.
**Expectations:**
- 8‑10 years of hands‑on automation testing experience.
- Proven expertise with Selenium (mandatory) and Playwright (preferred).
- Strong background in test planning, estimation, strategy, and defect/configuration management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for client and stakeholder interactions.
- Experience in Agile projects; insurance or banking domain knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to lead a team, enforce standards, and drive productivity improvements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Define and implement test automation strategy, frameworks, templates, and coding standards.
- Create, execute, and maintain reusable automation scripts for web and Windows applications using Selenium and Playwright.
- Design test cases/scripts aligned with functional and technical specifications.
- Set up test environments, test data, and manage defect life‑cycle and configuration items.
- Integrate automation suites into DevOps/CICD pipelines and maintain CI builds.
- Conduct risk identification, mitigation planning, and deliver weekly status reports.
- Generate and analyze test metrics, ROI calculations, and dashboards from JIRA/ALM.
- Mentor and coordinate the testing team, ensuring adherence to processes and timely delivery of milestones.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support integration testing across multiple interfaces.
**Required Skills:**
- Automation tools: Selenium (mandatory), Playwright (desired).
- Programming/scripting: Core Java, TypeScript, VBScript.
- Test management: JIRA, ALM, Test Planning tools.
- Database: Proficient in SQL query writing.
- CI/CD: Experience integrating tests with DevOps pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- Framework development, macro creation, and code‑logic handling for error conditions.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Agile methodology and strong time‑management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and presentation capabilities.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant testing certifications preferred (e.g., ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer, Certified Selenium Professional).
