Job Description

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer – iOS Role Summary: The role entails designing, developing, and maintaining native iOS frameworks and components that power the PlayStation experience. Focus is on delivering high‑performance, reliable iOS applications, integrating system‑level features, and collaborating across teams to bridge features into React Native. Expectations: Deliver robust, performant native code; translate product requirements into technical solutions; participate in code reviews and CI/CD; stay current with iOS platform trends and best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain native iOS frameworks and components using C++, Objective‑C, and Swift. - Implement system‑level integrations with iOS APIs (notifications, hardware events, system services). - Profile, thread, and memory‑manage applications to optimize performance and stability. - Collaborate with front‑end engineers to expose native features to React Native. - Translate product and design requirements into high‑quality technical solutions. - Contribute to code reviews, unit testing, and CI/CD automation. - Keep abreast of iOS platform trends, frameworks, and best practices. Required Skills: - 5+ years professional software development experience, 3+ dedicated to iOS. - Strong expertise in Objective‑C and/or Swift, plus additional experience in C++. - Familiarity with iPadOS and macOS frameworks, APIs, and platform features. - Proven ability to build multi‑threaded, performant, and scalable applications. - Solid understanding of software design patterns (MVC, MVVM, MVP, etc.). - Experience working in Agile environments. - Advanced debugging, profiling, and optimization skills. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent. - No specific certifications required.
