Senior Director of Security Architecture & Engineering – Public Sector
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of cybersecurity architecture across Lumen’s public‑sector portfolio. Own the strategic roadmap, ensure compliance with federal standards (FISMA, RMF, FedRAMP, NIST 800‑53, TIC 3.0, CMMC), and drive modernization of cloud, network, identity, and SOC/SIEM platforms.

- Deliver a multi‑year vision and actionable roadmap for public‑sector security solutions.
- Maintain continuous compliance and readiness for FedRAMP and other federal mandates.
- Act as senior technical SME to government CIO/CISO stakeholders and internal executives.
- Lead a high‑performing team and foster cross‑functional collaboration.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Set vision and multi‑year roadmap for public‑sector security architecture and secure service delivery.
- Provide executive oversight of network, cloud, identity, and data‑protection architectures aligned to FedRAMP and federal standards.
- Lead compliance strategy across FISMA, RMF, FedRAMP ATOs, and continuous monitoring.
- Represent the organization as a senior technical SME with government and internal stakeholders.
- Drive modernization of security platforms, cloud migration, automation, and SOC/SIEM evolution.
- Lead and develop a high‑performing team of security architects and engineers.
- Partner with Product, Operations, Program Management, and Compliance to deliver secure, reliable, and compliant solutions.
**Required Skills**
- 15+ years in cybersecurity or network engineering; 5–7+ years in leading security architecture for regulated or mission‑critical environments.
- Deep expertise in federal compliance frameworks: FISMA, NIST RMF, FedRAMP, TIC 3.0, CMMC.
- Broad technical mastery: cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP), network architecture, identity & access management, SIEM/SOC design, automation, and modern security platforms.
- Proven executive communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Strategic thinking: ability to define strategy, build roadmaps, and drive cross‑functional execution.
- Financial acumen in budgeting, cost modeling, and investment planning.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- CISSP and/or CISM preferred.
- U.S. citizenship; active security clearance (Secret+ required, TS/SCI preferred).
