Job Description
Job Title: Product Developer – Hard Goods Role Summary: Own end‑to‑end technical development of durable, sustainable physical products, guiding concepts through prototype, validation, and market launch while ensuring compliance and manufacturability. Expectations: 3–5+ years product development experience; proficient CAD/3D modeling; hands‑on prototyping with suppliers; strong technical problem‑solving and documentation skills. Must deliver manufacturing‑ready designs, manage supplier interactions, and drive products to production readiness. Key Responsibilities: - Lead concept to launch pipeline: ideation, prototype iteration, validation, and production hand‑off. - Create and maintain 2D drawings, 3D models, and manufacturing specifications. - Coordinate prototype runs with suppliers, review samples, and manage tooling/mold approvals. - Define and execute testing and compliance plans (REACH, CE, LFGB, etc.). - Resolve technical issues, ensure manufacturing readiness, and enforce quality standards. - Develop and maintain technical documentation systems and product specs. Required Skills: - Proven product development experience from concept to market launch. - Advanced CAD/3D expertise (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, etc.). - Manufacturing‑ready drawing and tolerance creation. - Hands‑on prototyping and supplier communication. - Strong technical problem‑solving, documentation, and project management. - Familiarity with compliance standards (REACH, CE, LFGB). - Knowledge of tooling, injection molding, or fabrication processes. - Experience working with Asian or EU manufacturers is a plus.
