Job Description

**Job Title:** Software Engineer in Test **Role Summary:** Develop and maintain test automation frameworks to ensure software quality. Collaborate with Agile teams to design test strategies, execute manual and automated testing, and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines. **Expectations:** Drive migration from legacy testing tools to modern frameworks, promote test automation adoption, and support test-first principles. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks (e.g., Playwright, TypeScript) for API/UI testing. - Execute manual testing, exploratory testing, and validate complex workflows. - Develop automated API tests (REST/SOAP) and end-to-end tests for functional/non-functional requirements. - Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines for rapid, actionable feedback. - Collaborate with developers and QA teams on test case design and code reviews. - Write SQL queries for data validation and test data management. - Guide automation strategy, mentor peers, and improve QA practices. - Ensure traceability between requirements, tests, and defects for compliance (e.g., HIPAA). **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in test automation tools (Playwright/TypeScript preferred). - Experience with API testing (REST/SOAP), SQL, and CI/CD pipeline integration. - Knowledge of Agile methodologies, test case design, and exploratory testing. - Familiarity with migrating from Selenium/Postman to modern frameworks. - Strong collaboration and communication skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant field.
