Job Description
**Job Title:** Vulnerability Engineer **Role Summary:** Conducts comprehensive vulnerability assessments across on‑premises, cloud, and container environments; prioritizes findings, coordinates remediation with stakeholders, and maintains rigorous vulnerability management processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. **Expectations:** - 10+ years of experience in vulnerability management, cybersecurity, or related fields. - Hands‑on expertise with industry‑standard vulnerability scanners, SIEM platforms, and risk assessment frameworks. - Proven ability to translate technical findings into actionable, business‑centric recommendations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Execute regular vulnerability scans using tools such as Nessus, Qualys, and OpenVAS. - Analyze scan results, apply CVSS scoring, and prioritize vulnerabilities by risk and business impact. - Develop, update, and enforce vulnerability management policies, procedures, and documentation. - Collaborate with system owners, developers, and DevSecOps teams to implement security patches and code fixes. - Monitor threat intelligence feeds and assess potential impact on organizational assets. - Produce detailed reports and dashboards for technical and executive stakeholders. - Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements (PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOC, etc.) and internal security policies. - Participate in incident‑response activities related to exploited vulnerabilities. **Required Skills:** - Deep knowledge of Windows, Linux, and networking fundamentals. - Proficiency with vulnerability scanning tools and SIEM solutions. - Understanding of CVSS, risk assessment methodologies, and secure coding practices (OWASP Top 10). - Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving capabilities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. - Preferred certifications: CEH, CISSP, OSCP, or CompTIA Security+. - Experience with automation scripting for vulnerability remediation and container/DevSecOps practices is a plus.
