Job Title: System Engineer – Infrastructure SI (H/F) – Permanent
Role Summary:
Lead the design, deployment, and operation of a Linux‑centric, SDN‑based private cloud using OpenStack, Ceph, and firewall technologies. Drive managed service engineering, infrastructure automation, and observability to support global telecom clients.
Expectations:
- Deliver high‑availability, secure, and scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Engineering, DevOps, and Development teams.
- Master complex network, storage, and security requirements in a telecom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineer and manage hosted services: PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Redis, and Docker containers.
- Plan, automate, and operationalise infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and related IaC tools.
- Migrate legacy systems to the private OpenStack cloud.
- Implement and maintain monitoring stack (Prometheus, Grafana) and migrate from legacy tools.
- Ensure continuous uptime, perform health checks, and execute incident response.
- Address technical issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive post‑mortem improvements.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams.
Required Skills:
- Advanced Linux system administration.
- Proficiency with OpenStack, Ceph, Docker, and network/SDN concepts.
- Experienced with IaC: Terraform, Ansible (configuration management), and Helm/Kubernetes fundamentals.
- Strong background in Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, OVH) and managed service concepts.
- Skills in monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana), logging, and alerting.
- CI/CD with Gitlab CI, Packer, Nomad, Consul, and knowledge of service discovery.
- Fluent technical English for international collaboration.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast‑paced telecom environment.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Professional certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, or similar are highly desirable.
