Job title: ServiceNow CMDB Expert
Role Summary:
Design, implement, and sustain a high‑quality CMDB within ServiceNow, ensuring accurate data governance, effective discovery, and seamless integration with Microsoft SCCM/Intune, Nexthink, and Active Directory. Lead end‑to‑end remediation and process automation to support enterprise device lifecycle management.
Expectations:
* 5+ years of hands‑on ServiceNow development with a focus on CMDB, Discovery, and IntegrationHub.
* Deep knowledge of CIP classes, CSDM, ITIL, workflow automation (Flow Designer), and scripting (Glide/JavaScript).
* Proven experience configuring MID Servers, Discovery scopes, and service mapping.
* Strong analytical skills to assess data quality, perform health checks, and design remediation plans.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management to conduct audits, deliver training, and drive change across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct CMDB assessment, scope definition, and health check (coverage, duplications, obsolescence, CSDM compliance).
- Recommend a target model and governance framework (CI classes, attributes, relationships, reconciliation rules).
- Remediate and secure data: cross‑source analysis from SCCM/Intune, Nexthink, AD, and ServiceNow.
- Design and implement Import Sets, Transform Maps, and deduplication/reconciliation rules.
- Produce injection files following the provided templates.
- Configure and optimize ServiceNow Discovery (MID Servers, credentials, schedules, patterns); set up service mapping where needed.
- Establish integrations using IntegrationHub, APIs, and load balancing with SCCM/Intune, Nexthink, and AD.
- Standardize lifecycle workflows (onboarding/offboarding, moves, retirements) and CMDB governance.
- Deploy reports and dashboards for data quality KPIs, discovery rates, and completeness.
- Lead audit campaigns, manage follow‑ups, and report progress, gaps, and remediation plans.
- Deliver training to IT and business stakeholders and influence best practices.
Required Skills:
- ServiceNow CMDB architecture, Discovery, Import Sets, Transform Maps, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub.
- GlideScript/JavaScript knowledge.
- Integration experience with SCCM/Intune, Nexthink, Active Directory.
- ITIL principles and CSDM model.
- Data quality assessment, reconciliation, and data governance.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and project management abilities.
- Proficiency with collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint).
- Autonomy, organization, and stakeholder communication.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certifications: CSA, CIS-Discovery, CIS-CMDB (or equivalent) highly preferred.
