Job Description: Job Title: Security Analyst Role Summary: A fundamental member of an information security team, responsible for daily security monitoring, triage of alerts, initial incident response, data protection operations, and support of security system maintenance. Acting as the first responder and documentation lead for early-stage incidents, and providing operational assistance to system owners and security engineering projects. Expectations: - 1+ year of focused information security experience. - 2–3 years in enterprise IT support roles (system admin, helpdesk). - Proficiency in incident response basics and remediation tactics. - Strong understanding of network and OS fundamentals (Windows, Linux, macOS). - Ability to prioritize multiple alerts, perform basic triage, and document actions accurately. Key Responsibilities: - Continuous monitoring of SIEM, EDR, and DLP alerts, performing priority ranking and classification. - Execute initial incident response: create ticket, notify stakeholders, apply playbooks, and record evidence. - Review and triage DLP and phishing alerts, blocking malicious content and escalating complex cases. - Conduct routine system maintenance (updates, clean‑ups) in collaboration with system owners. - Assist architects and engineers in tool selection, deployment, and compliance implementation. Required Skills: - Incident response fundamentals and playbook execution. - Security tool management (SIEM, EDR, DLP). - Network protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP. - OS administration: Windows, Linux, macOS. - Strong analytical, documentation, and communication abilities. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field. - Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or similar preferred. ---
