Job Description

**Job Title** Software Engineer, Mobile **Role Summary** Build and ship end‑to‑end mobile features for a fast‑growing fintech product. Work with React Native on the front‑end and a TypeScript/Node serverless stack (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS) on the back‑end. Own complete feature cycles—from discovery and scoping to implementation, testing, instrumentation, and release—while balancing rapid delivery with reliability and maintainability. **Expectations** * Function in a lean startup environment with high ownership of features. * Make pragmatic decisions in ambiguous, low‑spec situations. * Deliver stable releases with adequate logging, metrics, alerts, and automated tests. * Continually refactor and reduce technical debt without slowing velocity. * Collaborate closely with product and design to deliver measurable customer value. **Key Responsibilities** * Design, code, test, and deploy mobile features in React Native. * Implement serverless back‑end services using TypeScript, AWS Lambda, and related event‑driven patterns. * Write unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests (Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox). * Integrate continuous‑integration pipelines and automate build/release processes. * Instrument services with structured logging, metrics, and alerts. * Refactor legacy code and pay down technical debt. * Participate in product discovery, scoping, and prioritization. **Required Skills** * Proficiency in TypeScript with experience in Node.js/Express or similar. * Strong React and React Native development skills. * Familiarity with REST and GraphQL APIs. * Experience building with AWS serverless (Lambda, SQS, API Gateway) or equivalent event‑driven systems. * Practical knowledge of automated testing frameworks and CI/CD. * Git version control and collaborative workflow. * Clear communication, ownership mindset, and ability to make trade‑off decisions. * A portfolio or GitHub showcasing shipped applications, side projects, or open‑source contributions. **Required Education & Certifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. No specific certifications required.
