**Job Title:** DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Engineer and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for OnMed’s CareStation applications, ensuring rapid, reliable delivery of software while embedding security and observability best practices across development, staging, and production environments.
**Expectations:**
- Design, implement, and evolve cloud architectures and automation within Azure.
- Collaborate with engineering, development, IT, and security teams to streamline software delivery and enhance overall reliability.
- Drive incident response, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortem practices.
- Document infrastructure, processes, and configurations to maintain knowledge continuity.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Build and manage scalable, secure Azure infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop automation with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet; script in Bash, PowerShell, or Python for resource provisioning and configuration.
- Manage source code repositories and enforce GitOps/GitFlow workflows.
- Monitor system performance, uptime, and capacity; implement logging, metrics, and tracing for observability.
- Perform troubleshooting, incident response, and post‑mortem analysis.
- Integrate security scanning, secrets management, and compliance automation into pipelines.
- Maintain technical documentation for infrastructure, processes, and configurations.
- Work with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and build tools (Maven, Cargo, CMake, Bazel).
- Coordinate release management across development, staging, and production environments.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep proficiency in Azure Cloud services, Azure CLI, Azure Bicep, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions.
- Expertise in configuration management tools: Ansible, Chef, Puppet.
- Solid experience with IaC tools such as Terraform.
- Strong scripting skills: Bash, PowerShell, Python.
- Containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) experience.
- Familiarity with build systems: Maven, Cargo, CMake, Bazel.
- Knowledge of GitOps, GitFlow, branching, tagging, and release management.
- Understanding of relational databases, application security best practices, and modern DevOps workflows.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis capabilities.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of professional DevOps experience with strong exposure to IT management and security.
