Job Description
**Job Title** AI Specialist **Role Summary** Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions to transform public safety data analytics. Work onsite to integrate CLEMIS, CAD, RMS, and FRMS data into AI-powered query interfaces, predictive models, and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) systems hosted on AWS. **Expectations** - Deliver end‑to‑end AI solutions within a 6‑month W2 contract. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and law‑enforcement stakeholders. - Maintain data security, applying CJIS/PII masking and compliance. **Key Responsibilities** - Analyze and map public safety datasets (People, Aliases, Incidents, Offenses) and future RMS data for predictive analytics. - Extract data from on‑premise Oracle/SQL Server databases and migrate to AWS cloud. - Transform, cleanse, and store data in vector databases (e.g., Pinecone) for efficient AI/ML workloads. - Build and maintain NLP interfaces that translate natural language queries into AI‑powered searches. - Implement RAG workflows using AWS Bedrock and industry‑standard models (Claude, AWS Titan/Nova). - Develop, train, validate, and deploy models using Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Spark/Databricks. - Create dashboards and visualizations in Tableau or PowerBI to present insights to stakeholders. **Required Skills** - 2–3+ years experience with public safety applications (CAD, RMS, FRMS). - Strong data engineering in SQL/NoSQL, Python, R, Spark, Databricks. - Proficiency with ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Scikit‑learn. - Experience with AWS services: SageMaker, EC2, S3, Bedrock, Vector DB integration. - Knowledge of NLP techniques and RAG pipelines. - Familiarity with data security standards (CJIS, PII masking). - Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field. - Certified AWS Solutions Architect or equivalent cloud certification preferred.
