**Job Title**
Senior DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary**
Lead automation, infrastructure, and reliability for a large‑scale cloud‑based cybersecurity risk platform. Drive CI/CD, IaC, observability, and incident response to enable swift, secure deployments and high‑availability operations for enterprise customers.
**Expectations**
- Deliver scalable, secure infrastructure with minimal manual intervention.
- Continuously improve build, test, and deployment pipelines to reduce toil and cut cycle time.
- Maintain high availability and performance through proactive monitoring and rapid incident resolution.
- Participate in architecture, planning, and technical documentation that support team autonomy and growth.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitLab).
- Build and manage IaC (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) for VPCs, load balancers, autoscaling, firewalls, IDS/IPS.
- Automate repetitive tasks to free engineering focus on feature delivery.
- Develop and enforce observability: metrics, alerts, dashboards (Datadog, Elastic Stack, New Relic).
- Operate and troubleshoot Docker/Kubernetes clusters on public clouds (GCP, AWS, Azure).
- Conduct on‑call support, incident response, and post‑mortems; apply lessons learned to process improvements.
- Mentor and recruit junior team members; drive technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with security/compliance stakeholders to design controls for SOC2, PCI‑DSS, HIPAA, GDPR.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback; prioritize and resolve critical issues to improve satisfaction and renewal rates.
**Required Skills**
- Linux system administration & scripting (Python, Bash, JavaScript).
- Cloud architecture (VPC, load balancers, autoscaling, firewalls, IDS/IPS) on public clouds.
- Infrastructure‑as‑Code: Terraform, Ansible (3+ years).
- CI/CD tooling: GitHub/GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins, other pipeline orchestrators (3+ years).
- Monitoring & observability: Datadog, Elastic Stack, New Relic (3+ years).
- Containerization & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
- Strong verbal & written communication.
- Experience with security/compliance (SOC2, PCI‑DSS, HIPAA, GDPR).
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
**Preferred (Optional)**
- AI/ML, Generative AI, NLP application experience.
- Neo4j, Yugabyte, Spring Boot, GCP.
- Cybersecurity or IT systems management application development.
