Job Title: IT and Compliance Manager
Role Summary: Lead and scale IT operations for a remote‑first SaaS cybersecurity education platform, ensuring secure, scalable infrastructure, compliance, automation, and support for a globally distributed team.
Expectations: Instantly available, remote‑based, either permanent or contract; day rate £60k‑£80k (IR35 compliant).
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee Google Workspace administration, licensing, device procurement, MDM, and hardware lifecycle.
2. Implement and enforce security controls: SSO, MFA, IAM; maintain GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2 compliance; conduct audits and risk assessments.
3. Automate critical workflows (onboarding/offboarding, access management) and manage ITSM tool (e.g., Jira, Notion).
4. Provide responsive global IT support, track performance metrics, and streamline employee onboarding/offboarding.
5. Manage SSO integrations, license visibility, and permission audits.
6. Create and maintain disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity plans, ensuring 24/7 system availability.
7. Lead vendor management for SaaS, cloud, and other IT suppliers; evaluate technology solutions aligned with growth and budget.
Required Skills
- Proven IT management and systems administration in a remote‑first SaaS or tech environment.
- Expertise in Google Workspace administration, API integration, and scripting for automation.
- Hands‑on experience with MDM, IAM, and SSO platforms.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance frameworks (GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Successful implementation of ITSM solutions and workflow automation.
- Vendor management, troubleshooting, and support of distributed teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Workspace Certified, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer) preferred.
