Job Title: Head of Technology
Role Summary: Lead the strategy, architecture, and delivery of AI‑driven, end‑to‑end platforms for a fast‑growing deep‑tech startup. Oversee end‑to‑end AI and full‑stack engineering, align technology with business objectives, and build/scale high‑performance engineering teams.
Expectations:
- Deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable AI platforms.
- Translate business priorities into technical roadmaps.
- Manage projects, budgets, and resources.
- Foster a culture of rapid experimentation and continuous learning.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to executives, partners, and non‑technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Architect and implement a full‑stack, AI‑native platform—backend infrastructure, data ingestion, model training/inference, and front‑end interfaces.
2. Evaluate and select AI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow), cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), and supporting tools/vendors.
3. Enforce coding standards, architecture patterns (microservices), and quality controls.
4. Define and execute technology strategy, roadmap, and strategic priorities aligned with product and business goals.
5. Manage project planning, resource allocation, and budget oversight.
6. Recruit, develop, and mentor engineering, AI/ML, and MLOps teams.
7. Promote experimentation, continuous learning, and rapid delivery of new capabilities.
Required Skills:
- Deep hands‑on expertise in AI/ML (LLMs, computer vision, NLP) and full‑stack development.
- Proficiency in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and MLOps for model training, deployment, inference, and monitoring.
- Architecture experience with scalable, secure, maintainable systems (e.g., microservices).
- Leadership and team management experience.
- Strategic thinking and ability to align technology with business strategy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Startup experience building technology products from early stages.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
- U.S. work authorization at time of hire.
