Job Description
**Job Title:** Investment Banking Associate – Public Utilities & Infrastructure (PU&I) **Role Summary:** Support senior bankers in originating, executing, and managing M&A transactions within the public utilities and infrastructure sector. Conduct financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, and client presentations while building sector expertise. **Expectations:** - Deliver high‑quality analytical work under tight deadlines. - Demonstrate strong knowledge of PU&I markets and M&A processes. - Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients. - Contribute to deal sourcing and pitch preparation. - Uphold confidentiality and professional standards. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build and maintain financial models (DCF, LBO, merger models). - Prepare valuation analyses, comparable company and precedent transaction comps. - Perform industry research and market sizing for PU&I sectors. - Draft and edit pitch books, information memoranda, and client presentations. - Assist in due diligence coordination, data room management, and deal documentation. - Support senior bankers in negotiating terms and structuring transactions. - Participate in client meetings, conference calls, and investor roadshows. **Required Skills:** - 2–4 years of investment banking or corporate finance experience, preferably with M&A exposure in PU&I or related infrastructure sectors. - Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; familiarity with PowerPoint and Bloomberg. - Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to manage multiple workstreams and thrive in a fast‑paced environment. - High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. - Relevant certifications (e.g., CFA Level I–III) are advantageous but not mandatory.
