**Job title**: Venture Capital Fundraiser (Director, Capital Formation)
**Role Summary**
Lead capital formation for a venture capital firm’s portfolio, driving seed‑to‑Series B fundraising for startups. Manage investor relations, build outreach pipelines, create investor materials, and oversee onboarding and ongoing engagement with high‑net‑worth individuals, family offices, and institutional investors.
**Expectations**
- Close capital commitments for 6 funds and 220+ portfolio companies.
- Maintain a responsive, professional investor experience from initial contact through post‑subscription reporting.
- Leverage a deep investor network to secure funding and advisory support for portfolio companies.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Partner with founders, executives, and boards of portfolio companies to structure and execute fundraising campaigns.
- Build and manage investor outreach pipelines; track meetings, follow‑ups, and deal flow.
- Create, update, and distribute investor materials (pitch decks, fact sheets, talking points, onboarding guides).
- Serve as primary point of contact for new investor onboarding; coordinate subscriptions, KYC/AML, legal documentation, and account setup.
- Cultivate long‑term relationships with VCs, angel investors, and other capital providers; act as trusted advisor to both founders and investors.
- Produce regular investor reporting: performance summaries, market commentary, updates, newsletters, quarterly reports, and investor letters.
- Arrange investor calls, webinars, and roadshows; manage event logistics and follow‑up communications.
- Gather and synthesize investor feedback to inform messaging and product strategy.
**Required Skills**
- 10+ years in investor relations, capital raising, or investment operations in VC, private equity, or financial institutions.
- Proven track record raising seed‑to‑Series B capital across multiple industry verticals.
- Expertise in asset‑management lifecycle and investor onboarding processes.
- Experience managing HNW, family‑office, and institutional investor relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong presentation and storytelling abilities.
- Detail‑oriented with the capacity for multitasking and managing competing priorities.
- Ability to represent portfolio companies credibly in professional settings.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Advanced qualifications (e.g., MBA, CFA, CPA) preferred but not mandatory.
