AI Consultant (Reference)
**Role Summary**
Provide strategic and operational AI guidance to a major media group, identifying high‑value use cases, designing robust solutions, and overseeing end‑to‑end implementation. Simultaneously drive internal AI service development, thought leadership, and professionalism across the consulting firm.
**Expectations**
- Deliver measurable AI value to the client through proven use‑case identification, design, prototyping, deployment, and MLOps practices.
- Advance the internal AI consulting offering and culture through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and best‑practice adoption.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives and business units.
- Operate within an international, cross‑functional environment, collaborating closely with North American teams where relevant.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Identify actionable AI use cases in partnership with client business, data, and IT teams.
- Architect and recommend technical solutions (models, pipelines, cloud services) that are robust, pragmatic, and aligned with business goals.
- Challenge and coach client data scientists, engineers, developers, and IT staff on AI techniques, architecture, and best practices.
- Mentor teams on AI usage, governance, and ethical considerations.
- Lead POC development, industrialization, and MLOps implementation, ensuring scalable, maintainable architecture.
- Translate AI and data concepts for non‑technical audiences, including executive leadership.
- Contribute to pre‑sales AI/data proposals and refine the firm’s AI service offering.
- Facilitate internal AI tribe activities: workshops, knowledge sharing sessions, trend analyses, and events.
**Required Skills**
*Technical:*
- Deep knowledge of machine learning and deep learning models, end‑to‑end AI lifecycle, and real‑world use‑case constraints.
- Hands‑on experience building, deploying, and industrializing AI/ML models.
- Proficiency with AWS data/AI services, especially SageMaker, as well as related tools (S3, Glue, Step Functions, Lambda).
- Competence in MLOps practices: model versioning, CI/CD, monitoring, and compliance.
- Ability to assess and articulate technical feasibility and trade‑offs.
*Soft:*
- Strong verbal and written communication in English (C1/C2); French C1/C2 is a plus.
- Clear, structured presentation skills for audiences ranging from developers to C‑level executives.
- Empathetic, collaborative leadership style with mentoring and pedagogical aptitude.
- Strategic thinking, synthesis ability, and independent judgment.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: AWS‑certified Machine Learning – Specialty or equivalent cloud/ML credentials.
