Job Description

Job Title: Road & Utilities Designer (VRD) Role Summary: Drafting engineer tasked with designing and calculating road and utility infrastructure installations, preparing technical drawings in AutoCAD, and coordinating with construction stakeholders. Expectations: Deliver accurate, compliant designs on schedule; collaborate closely with VRD study managers; maintain clear documentation and effective communication across multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities: - Compute installation requirements and perform calculations for road and utility systems. - Dimension equipment using specialized design software (MENSURA, COVADIS). - Draft detailed design drawings in AutoCAD, including technical synthesis between various works. - Conduct site surveys and gather data for plan elaboration and integration of existing installations. - Liaise with owners, architects, control bodies, partner engineering firms, and contractors to ensure cohesive project execution. Required Skills: - Proficiency in AutoCAD drafting and manipulation. - Experience with MENSURA, COVADIS, or equivalent road/utility design software. - Strong analytical and calculation abilities for infrastructure sizing. - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings. - Effective communication and teamwork skills for multidisciplinary coordination. - Ability to conduct and interpret on-site surveys and site assessments. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Construction, or Infrastructure Engineering (or equivalent). - Knowledge of road and utility design regulations and standards. - Familiarity with French VRD norms advantageous but not mandatory.
