**Job Title:** Senior Technical Architect
**Role Summary:**
Design, evaluate, and optimize enterprise‑wide technical architecture for a federal government client. Lead cloud, DWAN, legacy integration, and performance initiatives to support digital transformation and modernization objectives while complying with government standards and security policies.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver comprehensive technical solutions that align with government digital standards and policy requirements.
- Identify and eliminate technology redundancies, mitigate risks, and enhance system coherence.
- Ensure seamless integration across legacy and modern platforms to improve data exchange, agility, and operational efficiency.
- Provide performance optimization strategies that increase scalability, reduce latency, and support future growth.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Create strategic architecture frameworks for cloud implementation, DWAN integration, and modernization.
- Conduct technology assessments, recommending adoption or retirement of tools to strengthen interoperability and security.
- Design end‑to‑end integration plans that unify application portfolios, infrastructure, and data flows.
- Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend architectural enhancements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including security, policy, and IT governance teams, to ensure alignment with national standards.
- Produce architecture documentation, roadmaps, and evidence‑based recommendations for decision makers.
**Required Skills:**
- Enterprise architecture design (e.g., TOGAF).
- Cloud platform expertise (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DWAN technologies.
- Integration methodologies (REST, SOAP, middleware, API management).
- Performance tuning, capacity planning, and scalability assessment.
- Strong understanding of government IT security frameworks, digital standards, and compliance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Analytical problem‑solving and strategic thinking.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related field.
- Certified in at least one enterprise architecture framework (TOGAF, Zachman).
- Cloud certification (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
- Security certification (CISSP, CISM, or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience working on government or large‑scale enterprise digital transformation projects.
