Fraud Investigator
**Role Summary**
Investigate, document, and analyze all fraud incidents across the enterprise, ensuring timely and accurate reviews, escalation, and evidence collection. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, to mitigate fraud risks, support investigations, and enhance fraud‑prevention processes.
**Expectations**
- Conduct thorough investigations of all fraud types; perform root‑cause analyses.
- Follow standard operating procedures for alerts, investigations, documentation, and escalation.
- Meet internal service‑level targets and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Provide expert advice and education to clients and stakeholders.
- Stay current on financial‑crime trends, regulations, and emerging technologies.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Monitor detection systems, tools, and reports; analyze data to identify fraudulent activity.
- Investigate disputes and fraud cases, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and SLAs.
- Collect, preserve, and document evidence for incident reports, litigation, loss prevention, and compliance.
- Maintain accurate case files and documentation throughout the investigation cycle.
- Engage clients via phone, email, or other channels to explain investigations, provide security guidance, and deliver a high‑quality client experience.
- Recommend process and customer‑service improvements; support operational excellence initiatives.
- Prepare and submit reports, notifications, and filings to senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Build and sustain relationships with internal teams, law‑enforcement agencies, and external partners.
- Identify and solve problems proactively; exercise sound judgment.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes (e.g., AML, KYC, PCI DSS) and industry best practices.
**Required Skills**

- Proficient with fraud‑detection systems, data‑analysis tools, and case‑management software.

**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Criminal Justice, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in fraud investigation, financial‑crime compliance, or risk management.
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Applicable compliance certifications (e.g., AML, PCI‑DSS) are a plus.
