Understanding Solutions is the consultancy division of Understanding Recruitment Group, focusing on designing, building and executing project-driven and outcome-based services for our clients in and around the Architecture and Software Development arenas.

Building on Understanding Recruitment’s ability to provide clients with the best, most agile talent options across the UK, Europe, and the US, we offer our clients innovative project-specific talent models designed to stand-up teams rapidly as needed. Our project resourcing capability, Teams as a Service offering (TaaS for short) integrates perfectly with our consulting model.

Understanding Solutions, supported by our recruitment business, can deploy full teams in under 48 hours for projects of up to 10 consultants, often even quicker. Where we are building teams beyond 10, we work to deliver in under 72-hours and all of these SLA’s are available in addition to the quality and accountability measures the consulting business provides to offer our clients truly flexible and highly scalable project delivery solutions.

Job Description
Job title: Transformation Project Manager Role Summary: Lead and coordinate complex digital and business transformation workstreams for a major UK infrastructure organization, ensuring governance, stakeholder alignment, and timely delivery across business and technology teams. Expactations: • 6‑month contract (potential extension) • Day rate £650 inside IR35 • Fully remote (home office in Hertfordshire) • Requires a highly experienced transformation specialist; projects may be excluded if experience does not align. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate and oversee multiple transformation workstreams, maintaining clear governance frameworks. - Manage risks, dependencies, and delivery timelines to meet program milestones. - Act as liaison between programme leaders, vendors, and cross‑functional teams. - Drive effective communication and maintain momentum across stakeholders. - Resolve issues and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track. Required Skills: - Proven track record delivering large digital or technology transformation projects. - Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams. - Strong stakeholder management across business and technology functions. - Ability to thrive in fast‑moving, dynamic environments. - Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities. - High‑level communication and facilitation skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Relevant university degree in Business, Engineering, or Information Technology. - Project management certification (PMP, Prince2, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
