**Job Title:** DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Senior DevOps professional responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high‑performance CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure across Azure DevOps. Leverages IaC (Terraform/Azure Bicep), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes/AKS), and observability tools to deliver secure, automated deployments while continuously improving developer experience and operational reliability.
**Expectations:**
- Own end‑to‑end CI/CD lifecycle and drive maturity to next‑generation excellence.
- Balance speed and safety, delivering measurable process and quality metrics.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and product teams to align deployments with business objectives.
- Mentor junior team members and maintain clear, up‑to‑date documentation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, build, and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines (YAML), including release gates, environments, and secrets management.
- Provision and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform or Azure Bicep, ensuring idempotent, version‑controlled deployments.
- Containerize workloads with Docker and orchestrate them in Azure Kubernetes Service or other Kubernetes clusters.
- Implement and maintain monitoring/observability solutions (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana) and incident response workflows.
- Define and apply deployment patterns (blue‑green, canary, rolling) suited to release scenarios.
- Automate security compliance checks and secrets handling across the pipeline.
- Evaluate and integrate specialized tools beyond Azure DevOps when appropriate, maintaining a single source of truth.
- Explore and prototype AI‑driven deployment automation or reliability techniques.
**Required Skills:**
- 5+ years of DevOps experience with proven CI/CD system scaling.
- Expert proficiency in Azure DevOps (YAML pipelines, release gates, environments).
- Strong IaC skills: Terraform or Azure Bicep.
- Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes/AKS.
- Scripting: Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Observability: Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana.
- Security: secrets management, compliance automation, best‑practice implementation.
- Deployment patterns knowledge and strategic application.
- Demonstrated CI/CD maturity transformation and measurable impact.
- Effective communication, mentoring, and cross‑functional collaboration.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant certifications preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
