Job Description
**Job Title** AppOps Senior Specialist (AWS) **Role Summary** Senior specialist responsible for the operation, reliability, and performance of highly resilient production workloads on AWS. Lead configuration, deployment, and continuous improvement of containerized microservices, infrastructure-as-code, and monitoring solutions. **Expectations** - 6‑8 month contract, onsite 3 days/week. - Deliver end‑to‑end operational excellence for production environments. - Drive automation, incident response, and capacity planning. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, deploy, and maintain AWS ECS clusters, task definitions, services, autoscaling, VPC networking, ELB integration. - Implement infrastructure-as-code with Terraform; manage code repositories with Git. - Automate build, test, and deployment pipelines using Ansible, Python, and PowerShell scripts. - Operate and enhance monitoring and observability with Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana; integrate alerts into ServiceNow. - Participate in Agile ceremonies (JIRA, GitHub) and support release planning, versioning, and change management. - Conduct root‑cause analysis, incident post‑mortems, and proactive risk mitigation. - Collaborate with development, security, and ops teams on architecture reviews, performance tuning, and capacity planning. - Provide documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer to support teams. **Required Skills** - Deep experience with AWS ECS (clusters, tasks, services, autoscaling). - Proficiency in Terraform, Git, Ansible, Python, PowerShell. - Containerization and microservices experience (Docker). - Familiarity with Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, ServiceNow. - Strong Agile methodology knowledge (JIRA, GitHub). - Understanding of software development lifecycle: release, testing, incident, problem, change management. - Data‑driven analysis for risk mitigation. - Excellent written and verbal communication. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Preferred certifications: AWS Certifications, SRE, ITIL, DevOps relevant certifications. ---
