Job Description
**Job Title** Construction Cost Estimator – Civil & TCE (General Contracting) **Role Summary** Provide detailed cost analyses for civil and total construction projects. Prepare methodology, execution plans, and comprehensive pricing for entire or partial projects. Validate delegated cost studies, recommend cost‑saving options, and maintain accurate pricing data. Coordinate with subcontractors, prepare close‑out documentation, and support regulatory compliance and partner relationships. **Expectations** - Deliver precise, compliant cost estimates on schedule. - Identify and propose efficient technical‑methodological solutions. - Maintain up‑to‑date pricing databases and documentation. - Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external contractors. - Contribute to continuous improvement of estimation processes. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Analyze written and graphical documents (drawings, specifications). 2. Define and formalize site methodology before costing. 3. Develop execution schedule for the project. 4. Prepare full or partial cost estimates; validate delegated studies or subcontracted pricing. 5. Identify optimal technical‑methodology combinations to reduce costs. 6. Ensure material, equipment, and execution price reliability; update the price library. 7. Liaise with subcontractors and external service providers; recommend selections. 8. Participate in close‑out meetings, prepare hand‑over documentation. 9. Draft technical reports and cost justifications. 10. Monitor evolving contractual and technical regulations. 11. Maintain and expand a network of external partners. **Required Skills** - Advanced construction cost estimation and quantity surveying. - Strong grasp of civil construction methods and materials. - Proficiency in project scheduling and cost control. - Analytical thinking and problem‑solving for cost optimization. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Negotiation and stakeholder management skills. - Familiarity with building codes, contractual requirements, and industry regulations. - Proficiency in estimation software and MS Office suite. **Required Education & Certifications** - Minimum Bachelor's level (BAC +3) in Civil Engineering, Building, or Construction Economics. - At least 5 years of equivalent experience in a general construction firm. - Solid technical background in structural (civil) construction. ---
