Job Description
Job Title: Electronic System Security Jr. Technician Role Summary: Junior technician responsible for the design, procurement, installation, maintenance, configuration, and lifecycle management of physical and electronic security systems (PACS, IDS, VSS, access control) within federal contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Expactations: Deliver timely system integration and support, maintain accurate documentation and inventory, train end‑users, and assist with security assessments, upgrades, and reporting, all while exercising independent judgment and initiative. Key Responsibilities: - Design, procure, install, configure, program, and sustain PACS, IDS, VSS, and access control systems. - Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and lifecycle replacements. - Update software, integrate third‑party systems, and coordinate with vendors. - Conduct security assessments, technology upgrades, and product selection reviews. - Verify field installations against regulatory and industry standards. - Issue, assign, and decommission access control credentials. - Maintain inventory of parts, equipment, and repair records. - Monitor service tickets, resolve issues, and generate required reports. - Provide on‑site training for customer personnel. Required Skills: - Minimum 3 years hands‑on experience with PACS, IDS, VSS, and low‑voltage security systems. - Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (HSPD, NIST SP, FICAM, OMB, ISC). - Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints. - Working knowledge of low‑voltage and network principles. - Strong written and verbal communication in English. - Excellent judgment, initiative, and problem‑solving skills. - Successful completion of federal background check, MVR, and drug screening. Required Education & Certifications: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Top‑Secret security clearance.
