Job Description
**Job Title**: Automation Engineer (Automaticien BE) F/M **Role Summary** Design, develop, and commission electrical and automation solutions within a multidisciplinary automation team. Lead projects from requirements to integration, ensuring functional performance, documentation, and system validation. **Expectations** Work 39 h/week, Monday‑Friday, returning home each evening. **Key Responsibilities** - Analyse project specifications and translate them into electrical and automation designs. - Create electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics. - Program PLCs (Siemens, Schneider, Beckhoff) in Ladder, Grafcet, Structured Text, or Functional Block Diagram. - Develop HMI/SCADA interfaces (Proface or comparable). - Conduct system debugging, adjustments to PLC logic, drives, HMIs, and robots. - Perform equipment commissioning and qualification. - Document technical specifications, user manuals, and maintenance procedures. - Support product development and production ramp‑up activities. **Required Skills** - Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (Siemens, Schneider, Beckhoff). - Strong knowledge of Ladder, Grafcet, ST, and FBD programming languages. - Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics. - Experience with motor drives, variable frequency drives, and industrial PLC hardware. - Familiarity with robotics (Fanuc, Roboguide, Staubli SRS) considered an advantage. - Competence in developing HMI/SCADA applications. - Team player with good communication and problem‑solving skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - BTS/DUT in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. - Licence Pro (e.g., CRSA) or related professional degree preferred. - First successful professional experience in automation projects.
