Head of Infrastructure
**Role Summary**
Drive strategy and execution for UK&I infrastructure engineering, leading design, deployment, and operations across cloud, on‑premises, and hybrid environments. Champion automation, establish engineering standards, and build a high‑performance team to deliver secure, scalable foundations that enable business transformation.
**Expectations**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, deliver, and operate core infrastructure services across multi‑cloud and on‑premises environments.
- Drive automation for provisioning, configuration management, and deployment using modern toolsets.
- Define and enforce engineering standards, observability, monitoring, and incident response practices.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high‑performing infrastructure engineering team.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with architecture, operations, and business units to deliver unified platform capabilities.
- Enable transformation initiatives through secure, scalable, and well‑instrumented infrastructure foundations.
**Required Skills**
- Senior experience in infrastructure engineering or technical leadership.
- Deep expertise in AWS and/or Azure cloud services and cloud‑native infrastructure.
- Proficiency with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and operational management.
- Strong networking fundamentals: routing, DNS, firewalls, load balancing.
- Administration and optimization of Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Advanced automation: Terraform, Ansible, Puppet; CI/CD integration.
- Infrastructure security: principles, access management, vulnerability remediation.
- Monitoring & logging platforms (Prometheus, ELK, Datadog).
**Required Education & Certifications** (optional)
- Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware Certified Professional, or similar are highly desirable.
