**Job Title:** Lead Physical Security Specialist
**Role Summary:**
Lead the Physical Security Program within the Security Department, serving as manager of two security specialists. Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive physical security measures, anti‑terrorism strategies, and emergency response plans for high‑value facilities and assets.
**Expectations:**
- Direct supervision, task assignment, performance review, and mentoring of subordinates.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Analyze security incidents, identify trends, and recommend proactive measures.
- Maintain advanced security systems and coordinate emergency preparedness at a command level.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Plan, develop, and enforce physical security policies and procedures for all FRCSW facilities.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and security surveys across dispersed locations.
- Evaluate existing security postures; propose enhanced controls, procedures, and facility upgrades.
- Lead anti‑terrorism/force protection program design and contingency plan development.
- Review incident reports, identify patterns, and implement preventive actions.
- Serve as primary liaison for emergency preparedness and response coordination.
- Oversee implementation and maintenance of AECS, motion/proximity detectors, cypher locks, high‑security padlocks, and personnel control systems.
- Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance on complex security issues.
**Required Skills:**
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience in a physical security environment.
- Expertise in vulnerability assessment, security survey techniques, and risk analysis.
- Strong knowledge of physical security systems (AECS, motion sensors, electronic lock systems).
- Ability to develop and implement anti‑terrorism/force protection strategies.
- Incident analysis and trend identification skills.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and training abilities.
- Proficiency with security management software and documentation tools.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Professional certifications such as CPP, SSP, CPS, or equivalent physical security credentials are highly preferred.
- Additional security or emergency management certifications (e.g., CERT, SERT) are an advantage.
