Job Description

**Job Title:** Specialist, Quality Engineering **Role Summary:** Lead and execute quality engineering (QE) activities across software releases in an Agile, customer‑centric environment. Design and implement test strategies, automate test coverage, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality deliverables for insurance domain products. **Expectations:** - 7+ years of QE experience, including 3+ years leading QE in Agile projects. - Proven track record of increasing test effectiveness and quality. - Deep familiarity with Guidewire insurance platform and insurance business processes. - Strong command of at least one object‑oriented language (Java, Python, etc.) and automation tools (Selenium, REST‑assured, Tosca). - Experience with RESTful API testing, CI/CD, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and DevOps practices. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and execute test plans, strategies, and frameworks for releases. - Drive automation‑first approach, shifting testing left in the delivery cycle. - Lead or participate within POD QE teams, setting testing priorities and outcomes. - Ensure governance and optimum coverage of vendor deliverables. - Provide detailed QE status reports, identify trends, and resolve impediments. - Champion continuous process improvements and industry best practices. - Coordinate release management and production implementation activities. - Mentor and support team members, fostering insurance domain knowledge. **Required Skills:** - Quality engineering leadership in Agile environments. - Test automation framework design, development, and maintenance. - API testing (RESTful) and automation tools proficiency. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities. - Collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders. - Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile Scrum ceremonies. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - No specific certifications required; knowledge of QA methodologies and tools is essential. ***End of profile***
