**Job Title:** Founding Engineer – Frontend Engineer (React, TypeScript) **Role Summary:** Early‑stage startup seeking a frontend leader to shape product vision and build high‑performance, user‑focused web interfaces. Works closely with design and backend teams to define UI standards, design system, and deliver accessible, responsive experiences. **Expectations:** - Deliver production‑ready UI components with React & TypeScript. - Establish and maintain a consistent design system and UI guidelines. - Ensure performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across browsers and devices. - Contribute to cross‑functional collaboration, including occasional backend tasks. - Operate in a fast‑moving, iterative environment with a focus on craftsmanship and impact. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and implement fast, intuitive UIs using React, Redux, Tailwind CSS, and TypeScript. - Optimize rendering performance and address complex interaction challenges. - Write clear UI copy (tooltips, error messages, etc.). - Define and enforce UI standards and component libraries. - Partner with backend engineers (Node.js, Express) and infrastructure teams as needed. - Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement cycles. **Required Skills:** - 2+ years of professional experience building frontend applications. - Deep proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern styling solutions (e.g., Tailwind CSS). - Strong understanding of performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive design. - Ability to create and maintain design systems. - Excellent problem‑solving and UI/UX judgment. - Familiarity with Redux, Node.js, Express, Google Cloud, Supabase is a plus. - Good communication and collaborative mindset. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent practical experience). - No specific certifications required.
