Job Description
**Job title** Indigenous Student Program – Work Term (January & May 2026) **Role Summary** A short‑term (4, 8, 12 or 16 months) co‑op or internship that immerses Indigenous students in real‑world energy industry projects. Participants receive mentorship, learning sessions, and access to an Indigenous Employee Network, while contributing to business, technical or operational initiatives aligned with their academic focus. **Expectations** - Be an Indigenous student currently enrolled in post‑secondary studies (Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Sciences, Law or a technical program). - Return to full‑time studies immediately after the work term. - Submit current transcripts with application. - For some roles, hold a valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record. - Indicate preferred term start (Jan/May 2026) and location preference. **Key Responsibilities** - Participate in project assignments that support business, technical or operational functions. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, applying academic knowledge to industry challenges. - Attend scheduled learning and development sessions. - Engage in mentorship activities, receiving guidance from senior staff. - Contribute to team reports, presentations or deliverables as required. **Required Skills** - Strong written and verbal communication. - Team‑orientated collaboration and networking. - Time‑management and ability to meet project deadlines. - Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Willingness to learn and adapt to new technical or business processes. **Required Education & Certifications** - Current enrollment in a post‑secondary program (undergraduate or graduate) in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Sciences, Law, or a technical discipline. - No specific certifications required; a valid driver’s licence may be required for certain assignments.
