Job Description
Job title: Product Manager Role Summary: Own and drive a portfolio of digital products for a global diplomatic organisation, shaping strategy, prioritising features, and leading cross‑functional Agile teams from discovery through to launch and continuous improvement. Expactations: - Own product strategy, roadmap and lifecycle, clearly communicating vision to stakeholders. - Act as product owner and Scrum Master, facilitating Agile ceremonies and ensuring timely delivery of user‑centric solutions. - Partner with programme and policy staff across foreign offices and central teams to align products with global mission objectives. - Use data, user research and business analysis to define success metrics and evaluate product impact. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying efficiencies and driving product excellence. Key Responsibilities: 1. Define product vision, strategy and roadmap aligned with organisational goals. 2. Prioritise backlog, write user stories, acceptance criteria and coordinate cross‑disciplinary teams. 3. Conduct stakeholder workshops, user research, usability testing and analyse metrics to inform decisions. 4. Coach and mentor product and Agile teams; manage sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives. 5. Oversee product life‑cycle from concept to release, post‑launch optimisation and iteration. 6. Collaborate closely with technical, design, data, and operations functions to deliver integrated solutions. 7. Present progress, risks and outcomes to senior leadership, translating technical details into business impact. 8. Ensure products meet security, accessibility, and compliance standards relevant to a diplomatic environment. Required Skills: - Product management with proven product ownership and roadmap delivery. - Agile & Scrum expertise (product owner and facilitator). - Strong stakeholder management, cross‑functional collaboration and communication. - User‑centric design, user research, business analysis and data‑driven decision making. - Ability to translate complex policy requirements into technical solutions. - Problem‑solving, prioritisation and conflict resolution. - Familiarity with DevOps, Kanban or similar delivery frameworks. - Comfortable with moderate travel and working across multiple time zones. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience). - Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) preferred.
