**Job Title:** Senior Salesforce Developer
**Role Summary:**
Seasoned Salesforce professional responsible for designing, developing, configuring, testing, and deploying declarative and programmatic Salesforce applications to support the Minnesota Department of Human Services. Works within an Agile, cross‑functional team, follows MNIT SDLC standards, and ensures solutions are efficient, stable, maintainable, secure, and aligned with business requirements.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver high‑quality Salesforce solutions across multiple concurrent projects.
- Apply deep Salesforce technical expertise while adhering to SDLC and Agile best practices.
- Provide senior‑level mentorship, code reviews, and knowledge transfer.
- Communicate effectively with architects, admins, analysts, and stakeholders.
- Evaluate and integrate third‑party tools to extend native functionality.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Configure and customize Salesforce using Apex, Aura, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and declarative tools.
- Design and implement integrations via web services and APIs.
- Conduct requirements analysis, solution design, unit testing, and deployment using change sets or CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with security and governance standards.
- Manage a portfolio of development work, tracking progress through Agile ceremonies.
- Lead peer code reviews, technical walkthroughs, and mentor junior developers.
- Stay current with Salesforce releases and emerging technologies; recommend enhancements.
**Required Skills:**
- 5+ years of experience as an application developer/software engineer.
- Expert in Apex, Aura framework, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web services.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, security (profiles, roles, sharing), and integration patterns.
- Proficiency with SDLC, Agile (Scrum/Kanban), and CI/CD tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and systems design abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication; customer‑service orientation.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Associate degree + 6 months experience or Master’s degree + 18 months experience acceptable).
- Equivalent professional experience may substitute for education.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification required; Platform Developer II preferred.
- Additional Salesforce certifications (e.g., Administrator, Architect) are a plus.
